Former U.S. Ambassador John Bolton on heightened tensions with North Korea and President Trump’s latest response to Russia expelling U.S. diplomats:

August 10, 2017

“I think it (U.S. response) would be with devastating force, Guam is an American territory and whether its Guam or California it would have to be the response.”

“I think as I say I would be expelling Russian diplomats from Washington rather than saying it was a plus for the budget.”

“I’m not sure its been explained to him that they are not actually being fired they are coming back to the United States, they are still on the payroll.”

Ambassador John Bolton, a diplomat and a lawyer, has spent many years in public service. He served as the U.S. Permanent Representative to the United Nations in 2005-2006. He was Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security from 2001 to 2005. In the Reagan Administration, he was an Assistant Attorney General.
