WASHINGTON, D.C. – Ambassador John Bolton announced today that he is endorsing Matt Jacobs for Congress (CA-26) and that the John Bolton PAC will donate $5,000 to his campaign.

Ambassador Bolton is committed to supporting candidates for elected office who believe in protecting the United States’ vital freedoms at home by securing American interests in a challenging world with a strong, clear and dependable national security policy resting on constancy and resolve. The John Bolton PAC will do so through contributions in primary and general election contests.

On Matt Jacobs: “As a federal prosecutor, Matt Jacobs investigated and prosecuted some of America’s worst enemies – including al-Qaeda terrorists,” Bolton said. “That’s the kind of toughness we need if America’s going to stand up to threats like Russia and China.”

On the Midterm Election: “This midterm election will be a referendum on Joe Biden’s disastrous national security policies. It’s the first opportunity for voters to respond to Biden’s disastrous retreat in Afghanistan and his embarrassing failure to deter Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. I believe everyday Americans have a better sense of our security needs and this election will prove it.”

Statement from Matt Jacobs: “Ambassador John Bolton has long been a champion of American strength and leadership on the world stage. The Biden Administration’s abject failures in Afghanistan and Eastern Europe have weakened America and strengthened our foes. I’m honored to have the support of Ambassador Bolton, who understands the many security threats facing our nation and how we must deal with them.”

Through his PAC, SuperPAC and Foundation, Ambassador John Bolton defends America by raising the importance of national security in public discourse and supporting candidates who believe in strong national security policies. Ambassador Bolton has worked hard to restore conservative leadership, which must reverse the recent policies of drift, decline and defeat. America must rise to the occasion and acknowledge the indispensable role we play in the world. Through 2020, Ambassador Bolton’s endorsed over 250 candidates and raised nearly $20 million for his organizations.
